Why I became a Realtor®?
Realtors are real estate agents who have joined a membership known as the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). All REALTORS® are real estate agents, but not all real estate agents are REALTORS®.
I decided I wanted to join NAR because I wanted to provide a higher level of tools and resources to my clients. Some of the tools that NAR provides are continuing ED, fair housing training, certification courses and leadership development. NAR also hosts events to network and meet other Realtors. While starting off as a newer agent the trainings and networking were so helpful. The more knowledge we have the better agents we can be for our clients.
The National Association of Realtors also holds agents to a higher standard, agents must take a code of ethics training class every year and agree to follow the code in order to maintain membership.
NAR also has volunteer opportunities, many locally that I can’t wait to participate in.
There are a few different associations you can belong to in Massachusetts but I chose the REALTORS® Association of Central Massachusetts (RACM) for a few reasons one being simply location. Another reason I chose Central Mass is I am a Woo Woman through and through.
I live on the West Side now but I lived in a few of the Worcester neighborhoods including the Burncoat and Greendale areas and I am settled here.
I am happy to belong to RACM and look forward to what they have to offer and what I have to give back to the communities.
